Fishing Tips, June 10th, 3 pm

Fishing Tips


Bring your father to the Children's Room on Saturday, June 10th, at 3 p.m. and learn how to "reel them in" with fishing tips from members of the Northern Westchester Sportman's Club. All the basics of making your first or any outing with dad with a rod and a reel successful, so that you and your dad can catch and release fish.

The Northern Westchester Sportsman's Club will host the program which will have you and your dad reeling them in. Topics covered will be how to set up you fishing rod, how to cast and what kind of bait to use.

Don't have equipment? Don't let that stop you from attending the event. The Club has also donated three fishing rods and tackle boxes which you may borrow.

Mother-Daughter Book Discussion Group - Summer 2006

Mother/Daughter Middle School Book Discussion Group


Connie Kamerman from the Children's Room at the Katonah Village Library will lead the Mother/Daughter Middle School Discussion Group starting with the classic National Velvet by Enid Bagnold on Wednesday, June 21st, 2006, at 8 p.m. During the summer months, girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grades, and their mothers can drop in and attend any of the four Wednesday meetings to discuss the books in an informal setting. No registration is required - drop in once or twice or for all four evenings. For more informaton about books and meeting dates click here.
