There will great things to see and do at the Katonah Village Library in December.
Two art exhibitions in our downstairs exhibit rooms from December 2-28th.Lasdon Botanical Art - see artwork done by students who have attended the botanical art classes at Lasdon Arboretum led by Corinne Lapin-Cohen. Reception: Dec. 2nd, 2-4 p.m.
Paintings by Anna Feld - Improvisation Series: Color and Gesture. Reception: Dec. 2nd, 2-4 p.m.
Out of the Box Art is a free course at the library offered in collaboration with the Westchester Community College Mainstream. It takes place on Mondays at 10 a.m. and the last two classes will take place on Nov. 27th & Dec. 4th. This course has gotten rave reviews. Call 914-606-6793 for more information.
The New Mothers Group will be meeting on Dec. 1st to learn about poison prevention. Click here for more information or call 232-3508 and ask for the Children's Room.
Children, ages 6-12, will have a great time doing Artsy Collage Holiday Cards on Saturday, Dec. 9th, at 11 a.m. Artist Jamie Ross will bring a collection of diverse and unique materials for you to use to create individual one of a kind holiday cards. There is limited enrollment, so please call The Children's Room at 232-3508 to register.
The 2005 movie Chronicles of Narnia will be shown on Thursday, Dec. 28th, at 2 p.m. for grades 5 and up. Call Pat Humphreys, Young Adult Librarian, at 232-3508 to sign-up.
The Northern Westchester Music Teachers Alliance will present its students in a Christmas Concert of Musical Selections on Sunday, Dec. 10th, at 3 p.m.
On Dec. 6th at 7:30 p.m. the Bedford Audubon Society will host "DNA Bar Coding as a Method of Plant Identification" presented by Dr. Kenneth M. Cameron.
