October & November at the Library

It is already October and the Annual Book Sale - the library's big fundraiser is just about to happen. It starts on October 20th and ends on October 27th - click here for more information.


The Children's Room will be celebrating Halloween with a costume parade and book displays have been set up in the Children's Room and the Young Adult table.

Another book display will commemorate Red Ribbon Week (Oct. 21-27).

2007 Bookmark Contest Starts - Children's Room
Starts Oct. 20; ends Nov. 2nd. , kindergarten to 6th grade

We are looking for original bookmark designs using the theme "Reading is Magical." Entry forms are available in the Children's Room. Winners will be announced on Nov. 12th.

Pizza Night and Book Discussion - Children's Room
Oct. 22, 6:30 pm
Come enjoy a pizza and lively book talking for 4th & 5th graders. Book to be discussed
On the Wings of Heroes by Richard Peck and will be available for pickup in the Children's Room.

Pre-schoolers wear your costumes and join the fun. Sign-up by Oct. 25 in the Children's Room.

Comics Drawing Workshop - Teens
Starts Nov. 5, 7 pm (also on Nov. 12, Dec. 3, & Dec. 10)
The 1st of 4 workshops - attend all or any one of them.
Learn to draw your favorite comic character or invent one of your own with Andrei Lukianoff.

Decorate Your Denim - Teens
