Here is a short list of events happening in the Children's Room at the Katonah Village Library this Fall. For information on all events in the Children's Room please call the children's librarian at 232-3508.

New Mothers Discussion Group

New mothers and their infants, birth to 12 months, are invited to attend these monthly meetings. The goal of this progam is to give new mothers information to enrich their parenting skills and an opportunity to meet other new mothers. Each meeting will feature a speaker who will lead a discussion on a topic of interest to new mothers. There is always an opportunity for questions and group discussion. All the meetings will be held at The Katonah Village Library at 10:00 a.m. on the following dates:

November 4th, Friday
The ABC's of Spinal and Neuromuscular Development in Infants
Presented by Dr. Stuart Weitzman, a local chiropractor who specializes in pre- and post-natal and infant care

December 2nd, Friday
Baby's First Foods
How and when to introduce your baby to solid foods so that you start them on the road to healthy eating. Presented by Dr. Kathy Purvis, MD, IBCLC.

Story Time for Preschoolers

Toddler Time
Thirty minute program of stories, crafts and nursery rhymes for children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2, and their caregivers. Please sign up for this program as the space is limited.
Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., until November 6th, 2005.

Story Time
Picture books, songs and crafts introduce children to the wonderful world of books. Drop in.
For 3's and 4's
Mondays at 1:00 p.m., until December 12th, 2005

For 4's and 5's
Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m., until December 12th, 2005
Thursdays at 2:00 p.m., until December 12th, 2005
